Black Gem Foundry Trifecta

For U47, by @sacr3dbac0n/The Frying Pan

General Checklist

Strats adjusted according to the typical setups we use everywhere. See pinned dd, tank, healer for details.

  • Resolving Vigor everywhere

Preliminary

Training run: Mine ALL the Potent Soul Gems throughout the first trash section. Use the table for the first bonus.

Trifecta run: Don’t pull optional #1, just take the three bonuses and leave.

Prospector Lyrakta (Optional #1)

  • Drop all ults once.
  • Kill the boss
  • Dodge AoEs – I don’t trust like that.

Collect the soul essence when done to fill your Potent Soul Gem and interact with the table to use dialog #2 (Jewlery Crafting 49) and get the enhanced bonus. Make sure you have some Platinum or Rubedite Ingots too, I forgot which one you need.

Quarrymaster Saldezaar

Checklist:

  • Tank brings Rapid Maneuvers if needed
  • Use Bracing Anchor (Champion Points) at your discretion.

Three mechanics here: Forked Lightning, Black Gem Splinters, and Pulverizing Slam (we call the latter two curse and “yellow”).

1.) Forked Lightning – Block on time when shown by the HA indicator on the Imp, fail this, and you die.

2.) Black Gem Splinters – Block when they impale. It applies a ramping DoT to cleanse via: a.) Galvanizing Blow/Boss cone on Tank (BEST)

b.) Jump/AoE
c.) Pulverizing Slam (“Yellow”) – is the auto-cleanse 65% and 30%

3.) Pulverizing Slam – Go to the most opaque side (in or outside) and get launched so you don’t impact gems. Unsure? Follow tank and blame upon death.

A few nuances on Galvanizing Blow, though:

  • Cone #1 should point at the most crystal-dense side (entrance- or exit-facing) on pull/after “yellow”/Pulverizing Slam
  • Cone #2 should always be on/into group to cleanse Black Gem Splinters.

Reason being Galvanic Charge (which results from taking boss cone) hits hard when everyone stacks on each other – the damage from the lightning AoEs isn’t easily sustainable.

Or more simply:

  • Imp HA – Block
  • Curse – Block, cleanse with cone #2
  • “Yellow” – go to yellow side.

Black Gem Monstrosity

Checklist:

  • Remind your healer they’re kiting Soul Focus/Beam
  • Reemphasize the stack anchor point. Should be DD or healer.

Two distinct phases. Stairs and stack as we call them.

Encounter flow (in sequence):

> Boss HA

> Soul Focus

> Stairs

> Kill Adds then Pyro

> Atro Stack

> Soul Focus

> Kite

> REPEAT 4x

For stairs, group should be between the cleavage of the traveling AoEs (behind where they start). Be on the top step on the left exit-facing side. Too low and you’re then in the Lava. Tank is on the opposite (right) side.

After stairs, group must stack on the designated anchor point. The stack point is towards exit, in the dirt, by the base of the stairs (slighty centered with the platform)

This pixel stacks the Atros so they can be beamed with Soul Focus by the healer. Two DDs must maintain stack position and keep min. range with the boss – Just block and stand still. When healer catches Soul Focus you’re free to move, drop an ult, and do your kite.

Remember, kite a blob, not a line, also not on the stairs.

Finally, whenever boss is active, he should be positioned toward exit, centered with the square platform, far in the dirt, on the edge of the lava. Take him far out as possible without burning yourself.

High Soulbinder Vykand

Checklist:

  • Assign quadrants. Usually tank is exit right and healer entrance right. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter.
  • Have a self-heal. Resolving Vigor is best.

This boss is trained in two parts: Vykand Main and Vykand Annihilation.

Vykand Main:
1.) Avoid spawning Soul Slags (the puddles).

a.) Roll each time as indicated by the Soulbinding Slam Code’s loading bar. It coincides with the boss HA.
b.) Cleave the guys before they walk to boss – it keeps puddles out of center.
c.) Puddles eventually become a color. This is what each means:

i.) Green: Roll (sometimes multiple).
ii.) Yellow: Move away/watch out – they’re moving
iii.) Red: Block.

2.) Perform Acute Enervation – four purple shades spawn. The cursed player will see one as green. Call out the direction so DDs can kill it. The mechanic happens twice for two players. Objective is to kill the correct shade and heal the curse to 100% or else Enervating Deathstroke will kill them.

a.) First curse is NW, NE, SE, SW (corners).
b.) Second curse is N, E, S, W (plus sign).
c.) DDs stay melee. Let healer kite the first “curse”.
d.) move to cleave/prep Fatecarver before the callout is made.

3.) Kill Big Purple add – either 2h or mage guy. Drop Support ults when he comes in.

4.) Run your quadrant. If add isn’t dead, one DD stays to execute and others compensate by collecting extra ghosts.

5.) Push Vykand Annihilation; save ults!! (~60%)

Vykand Annihilation:

Vykand has two phases of annihilation:

Phase 1: Remember – Memorize your pose and tile location, then go to tile:

1.) Four Poses: Staff up, staff down, staff out/right, and staff spin

2.) Eight Tiles: NW, N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, and W.

Phase 2: Blind Recall – Is your pose identical? If yes, group goes your tile. Call out the direction.

  • Look in the center, have a constant ref. point.
  • If nobody says anything, its probably you. Call out your tile.

Try to be quiet during annihilation; some players are concentrating on remembering.

Annihilation phase 1 and 2 will only happen twice (60% and 30%) on a great pull.

To reemphasize: damage ults must be on cooldown to push the fight. Supports on big purple adds. Don’t ult before Annihilation phase 1 since she goes away. Only during phase 2.

Remember, ALWAYS cleave the boss.
