Bal Sunnar Trifecta

For U47, by @sacr3dbac0n/The Frying Pan
General Checklist
Strats adjusted according to the typical setups we use everywhere. See pinned dd, tank, healer for details.
- Healer needs Glyphic.
- DDs need Destro ult.
- Interupts for boss two.
- Resolving Vigor mandatory.
Preliminary
Do optionals #1 and #3 also checklists as indicated
Totem Puzzle (Optional #1)
- Work from right to left to solve the puzzle as shown in the image. Or use Bal Sunnar Helper to get the solution (Jump once to toggle)
- Typically healer does this while group clears trash.

Kovan Giryon
Checklist:
- DDs are required to have Resolving Vigor.
Not much to this one, but really, it’s all about surviving.

The idea is to push boss fast, but if Manipulate happens, bail and self-heal > Prag shield > and refresh. By that point, you’ve already “failed” the DPS check (which happens). Then, nothing else matters but surviving.
This is crucial because a DD will be separated by AoEs, which constrains movement and prevents soft-stacking. For that reason, you must learn to self-sustain.
Ults are crucial for pushing the boss. Here’s when you should:
DD/Healer:
1.) On pull.
2.) 65% – if possible.
3.) 20% – skip 45% and save for execute (delay until he’s down).
Tank:
1.) On pull
2.) 20% – tank ult is big (Warhorn + Major Slayor) so build it up.
A couple of other general notes:
- Kovan can’t channel Manipulate while jumping to Laser Beams, so chase him down.
- Again, someone will eventually be forced from group, especially during execute. Be ready and play safe.
Roksa the Warped
Checklist:
- Two interrupters (healer and DD), Crushing Shock or Venom Arrow is good.
- Propelling Shield is helpful if your healer has it.
- Assign positions (left, right, or banner). Usually, I designate healer as banner and have them handle banner and left or right orbs.
- Resolving Vigor on DDs.

The main thing to be concerned about is Darklight Orbs, which spawn regularly through the fight. Simply interrupt to prevent them from exploding someone, four will spawn (time sensitive).
Darklight Orb can happen during transitions to darkness. Remember, don’t be in darkness longer than 3 sec, which realistically is 2 GCDs. So, don’t go more than two interrupts before returning to light. You may die to darkness otherwise.
We go to darkness after Roksa leaves at 70% and 40%. A mini add will come up, then darkness will fade. Now is the triple laser beams + DD/healer kite. Tank must stand center and mitigate the damage with block, shield, and self-heals. DDs and healer must go to their positions to kite AoEs.
It’s fine if you get stuck in someone’s area/position, just above all else, don’t go through the lasers.
Laser Puzzle (Optional #3)
- Bounce the lasers off mirrors so they burn the center totem or use Bal Sunnar Helper to get the solution (toggle by jumping).
- Typically healer does this while group clears trash.
Matriarch Lladi Telvanni

Checklist:
- Both DDs must have Destruction Staff Ult (inferno).
- Glyphic is a huge carry for healer.
- Warhorn/Major Slayer on tank as always.
- Designate someone to grab synergy halfway-ish through Poison Storm.
- Resolving Vigor on DDs.
Matriarch Lladi Telvanni is all about coordinated ults and timing. There’s Lladi Main and Poison Storm.
Lladi Main:
Kite and kill Skeevers as needed – do not get bit. The bite drastically increases ability cost so you can’t cast and apply heavy DoT. They can be immobalized.
Generate ult between 70% and 30% if needed – this is crucial. Kill Blob before Poison Storm – it probably wrecks the tank.
Poison Storm:
Ult timing is critical for success here. You need to survive heavy damage in the storm for 30 sec while killing and kiting Skeevers. We need concentrated HPS and DPS in a large area. The only reasonable way is coordinated ults. Here’s how you do it:
1.) Cast first DD’s destro ult when the first Skeever comes in. Call out on cast and end.
2.) Tank Ult is a little before the first destro ult.
3.) Second DD’s destro ult comes in a few seconds. Cast it on prev. End.
4.) Healer Glyphic is cast at 16-18 sec on the Storm timer (to compensate for cast delay).
a.) This is absolutely crucial and make-or-break for the run. Too early, and you lose all your HPS when you most need it. Too late is risky too, and edges groups heals.
At the same time this is all happening we need tank to grab the synergy, DDs need to kill Skeevers and kite, same with healer. All inside a radius of about 8-12 m.
Final notes:
- Don’t ult on pull
- Ults free after second Poison Storm – execute boss while killing Skeevers.
- Dodge the explosions always, there’s some desync involved.
Do all this, and you’ll be a Temporal Tempest.
